Master the Wild with The Castoro Survival Knife
Introducing the Castoro – a knife as powerful and resourceful as the creature it's named after.
Castoro, meaning beaver in Italian, is a tribute to the creature’s instinct to reshape its surroundings for survival. This knife embodies that same spirit, built to help you master the wild and thrive in the toughest environments.
Unmatched Craftsmanship: The Castoro’s Damascus Blade
- Forged by Hand: The Castoro’s blade is created through an intensive process of folding layers of 1095 High Carbon Steel and 440C Stainless Steel, where each layer is heated and hammered to remove impurities. This meticulous process strengthens the blade, resulting in unparalleled toughness and a unique, striking pattern.
- One-of-a-Kind Pattern: Each blade carries its own distinctive design, telling the story of the craftsmanship behind it—no two knives are alike, just as no two beavers construct their dams in the same way.
Functional, Reliable, and Ready for Anything
Equipped with versatile features, the Castoro is designed for true survival:
- Serrated Edge: Perfect for notching and sawing small branches to set up shelter, setting snares, and making traps.
- Primary Edge: For hacking, butchering large game, digging roots, and taking on heavy-duty work, like preparing wood or breaking through bone and terrain.
- Secondary Edge: A razor sharp, easier to control edge ideal for creating tinder shavings or feathering firewood for fire-starting. Recessed in to protect this razor edge from the heavy, dulling tasks performed by the primary edge.
- Exposed Pommel: Found on the knife’s butt, ideal for tasks where you don’t want to risk dulling the sharp blade, such as crushing small objects, breaking marrow bones and shellfish or driving stakes.
- Curved Spine: Designed for striking your ferro rod to spark a fire, and tough enough to withstand strikes with a log, helping drive the blade through dense wood or frozen meat.
Whether you’re cutting through branches, setting up a shelter, or tackling fine-detail work, the Castoro is your reliable tool. It comes housed in a handmade, genuine cowhide sheath of the highest quality, ready to withstand the elements alongside you.
Complete with Essentials for Survival
The Castoro sheath includes both a sharpening stone and a fire-starting ferro rod, creating a comprehensive survival tool for those who are ready for anything the wild presents.
Presentation and Personalisation
The Castoro is presented in a personalized, velvet-lined beech wood gift box, a refined display fitting for a survival knife of this caliber. The leather sheath can also be customized at no extra cost. We suggest not engraving the knife itself, or keeping engravings on the knife to small initials, allowing the functional artistry to speak for itself.
Just as the beaver transforms raw nature into a safe haven, the Castoro Survival Knife gives you the tools to carve out your own place in the wild. It’s more than a survival knife – it’s a symbol of resilience, adaptability, and mastery over the elements.

Care Instructions
- Protect Against Corrosion: Like a high-end Japanese knife, the Castoro benefits from a light layer of oil to guard against surface corrosion.
- Storage Tip: For long-term storage, we recommend keeping the blade separate from its leather sheath, as leather can retain moisture that may lead to surface corrosion on high carbon steel.
The Castoro Survival Knife is more than a knife – it’s a finely crafted tool embodying resilience and mastery, built to help you conquer the wild.
