You bet — our gift sets are crafted entirely in-house, right here in Brisbane. We design, machine, engrave and assemble everything ourselves using CNC routers, vertical machining centres, CNC lathes, and more lasers than we can count. It’s a big job for a small team, but we’re built for it.

Some components, like hip flasks, hammers and decanters, are sourced — because it doesn’t make sense to reinvent what’s already made well. Same goes for our blade steels, since Australia doesn’t produce any. We’re not blacksmiths – we focus on what we do best: designing, machining, and building quality gifts that carry real meaning.

Never softwoods or fake timber. No MDF, no pine — just proper hardwoods, either from sustainable plantations or long-dead windfell trees with tight, dense grain. And we’ll never fake the look of our timber by staining it to mimic something it’s not. What you see is the real thing — grain, colour, character and all.

No plastic or imitation horn where it counts. We take pride in using the real thing — materials with character and weight, because cheap substitutes feel exactly that: cheap.

We use genuine leather where it matters most — on items that get handled and worn, like knife rolls, sheaths, pouches and wallets. For low-wear pieces like ring boxes, book bindings, or hip flask wraps, we sometimes use faux leather where it makes sense.

As for our steels — we only use proven blade steels from trusted mills in Japan, China, and the USA. No shortcuts, just materials that work.

We care — genuinely. We run an honest business, even when no one’s watching, because it matters to us. That means taking care of everything we touch: ourselves, our workshop, our tools, our team, and our environment.

We choose materials and finishes that are safe for us to work with and safe for the planet — like natural timber oils instead of harsh VOC sprays, and biodegradable, vegetable-based cutting fluids that we dispose of properly. Our metal chips are recycled, our wood chips used for animal bedding and we keep a clean workshop inside and out.

We're also the kind of people who pick up rubbish when we're out hunting or hiking — because this isn’t about greenwashing. It’s just who we are.
