Not only do they look fantastic, but they are also naturally antibacterial and protect your knives during use on the timber surface. Our live edge boards are crafted from a solid single piece of wood, straight from the tree, after being air dried for a minimum of 2 years. We process the rough wooden slabs into smooth cuts and finely sand the surfaces till they're as smooth as possible, and then adding wooden legs to your board to stand a proud centerpiece on your tables.
But that's not all - we offer free custom engravings on these boards. Let us know what to engrave for you and if you'd like to pick your own fonts from dafont.com for us to use, otherwise we'll engrave with a beautiful signature type font as advertised for you. We keep the engravings small up to 110cm wide in the bottom right corners to keep a classy look to the board and not to subtract from this woods incredible beauty.
Our cutting boards are also food safe, sealed with tung oil which hardens creating a moisture barrier, then coated with food safe oils and waxes including Australian bees wax and the highest quality Brazilian palm wax available, to waterproof and protect your engravings for endless use.
The boards measure approximately 50cm long by 30cm wide and 6cm high including the wooden feet. The board itself is crafted from a generously thick 3cm piece of Camphor wood. Please note that not two boards are ever the same, each has their own unique patterns and imperfections which adds to their beauty and uniqueness. We especially pick only the most beautiful pieces to create these natural edge boards though and take great care in finishing them to the highest standards possible.
We recommend that you hand wash these works of art only, as a dishwasher drastically shortens the life of any wooden product. You may keep your boards in their best shape by occasionally giving them a wipe over with refined coconut oil.
