Every engagement ring box we make is crafted in our Brisbane workshop – shaped, sanded and polished from timbers as rare and individual as the moment itself. Built one at a time, with the patience and detail it deserves, until it’s worthy of holding one of the most important decisions of your life.

What you’re getting

Your choice of a single or double pillow:

• Single pillow – perfect for presenting an engagement ring on its own, or for an anniversary ring.
• Double pillow – holds a matching pair of rings. Often chosen so the box can be reused for the wedding ceremony itself, since she’ll already be wearing the engagement ring. That leaves the two slots free for your wedding bands.
  
  
• A handcrafted wooden engagement ring box, built in-house at LilyCraft – never resold, never outsourced.
• A white velvet pillow, your choice of single or double slot - folded and assembled by hand. It holds both thin engagement bands and wider rings securely.
• A protective hessian bag for storage and travel.
• Fast turnaround from Brisbane – usually 3 to 7 business days.

Your choice of timbers, each with its own story:

• Rubberwood – a sustainable hardwood from the rubber tree plantations of Asia. Light in colour, smooth to the touch, and reliable.
• Zebrano (Zebrawood) – from Central Africa, famous for its dramatic dark striping across a golden base. Every box looks like it has been painted by nature.
• Padauk – an African hardwood known for its fiery, almost glowing red. We polish Padauk to 10,000 grit by hand so the colour sings. Over time it slowly deepens into a rich, darker brown – the timber carries its years like a story.
• Indian Rosewood – rare, dense, and highly prized. Deep brown with subtle purple hues, polished to a glassy 10,000 grit finish. This species is regulated and restricted to Australian orders only. We cannot export this species.

Personalisation details

• We engrave directly into the lid – bottom right corner – simple and understated looks best.
• Most people choose a name and date in the bottom corner in our standard engraving font, but we’ll happily work with your own font if you send us the file.
• Proofs are available if you request one before we engrave.

FAQs

Can you engrave handwriting or logos?
Yes. Send us a scan or file and we’ll engrave it directly into the timber.

Will the timber colour match the photos?
Each box is unique, just like the tree it came from. Padauk’s fiery red is completely natural – never stained – and will gently deepen with age. Zebrano may show bold stripes or more subtle grain. Rosewood can reveal lighter sapwood or the occasional knot. These natural variations aren’t flaws – they’re part of the timber’s character, and they make every box one of a kind.

What if I make a typo in my engraving?
We engrave exactly what you send, so please double-check before ordering. Proofs are available if you want that peace of mind.

Can I return a personalised box?
Personalised orders can’t be returned, but if there’s ever an issue with workmanship, we’ll put it right.

Will I see a proof before it’s made?
Only if you ask. Proofs slow us down, and we’re careful engravers. Most people trust us to go straight to crafting so their box is finished on time.
