FAQs
Can you engrave Masonic symbols or logos?
Yes, we can engrave the Square and Compasses or other lodge symbols. Please send a link to your file or contact us with details.
Do you really make these in-house?
Yes – every gavel, sound block, and gift box is made by us in Brisbane. We machine, sand, and hand-finish each piece ourselves to our high standards.
Is the gavel functional or decorative?
It’s fully functional - made for the task. The handle and head are crafted from dense hardwood, strong enough for ceremonial and everyday use.
How durable is the engraving?
The band is anodised aluminium. The engraving is etched permanently and won’t rub off with handling or crack with heavy use.
Do I have to buy the gift box?
No – the gavel and sound block can be purchased on their own. The box is optional for safekeeping and presentation.
Trust LilyCraft Gavels
A gavel is more than wood and metal – it’s a symbol of the trust placed in someone to lead, decide, and keep order. That’s why our gavels are in the hands of Freemasons in their lodges, judges in their courts, auctioneers on the floor, and leaders of organisations as far-reaching as NATO and the World Health Organization. They aren’t bought as ornaments – they’re given as marks of respect. Every one we craft in Brisbane is made to honour that moment, so the person receiving it knows their service truly matters.
