Not sure if 5A or 7A is your thing? Here’s the short version:

Stick Size

• 5A – The all-rounder. Good balance of weight and feel. Suits most styles.
• 7A – Slimmer and lighter. Best for jazz, softer grooves, or smaller hands.
• (We stock these two for a reason — they’re the most versatile.)

Tip Shape

• Teardrop – Smooth and balanced. Great for general use.
• Round – Bright and clear, especially on cymbals.
• Oval / Acorn – A bit more body in the sound. Subtle difference, but it matters to some.

Wood Types

• Hickory – Most common. Decent feel and bounce.
• Maple – Lighter and quicker, not as tough.
• Oak – What we use. Heavier, denser, hits harder, and lasts longer. Less flex, more punch.

What size drumsticks are these?
We sell 5A and 7A sticks — the two most popular styles. Choose what suits their playing style or let us know if you’re unsure and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Are these sticks made from real oak?
Yep. Solid oak, dry and straight from the mill. No fillers, no weird laminates. It’s the real deal — dense, strong, and clean-sounding.

How permanent is the engraving?
Very. We use high-powered laser engraving, not printing. The text or design is burned right into the timber — it won’t rub off or fade.

Who are these for?
They’re a great gift for someone who actually plays — or used to. Think dads who still have a kit in the shed, mates who gig on weekends, music students, teachers, or kids just starting out. We can — just ask when you order. If you're on a deadline, we usually run with what you’ve given us and get it done right the first time. But if you want to see it first, no worries.

Can I get just one stick?
We only sell them as pairs — sorry. If you’ve lost one, consider this your sign to grab a backup set (and maybe engrave “Don’t lose me again” while you’re at it).

How long do they take to ship?
We usually get them made and sent out within 3–5 business days. Need it faster? Let us know — we can often speed things up if needed.

Is the case worth it?
If you’re gifting, definitely. It’s solid hardwood, engraved to match, and makes the whole thing feel more complete. Plus, it keeps the sticks safe in their travels.
