Yes. We sharpen all knives by hand using belts, whetstones and leather strops.

Can I choose a specific timber?
Yes - we use a range of Australian hardwoods. Ask us about what’s available.

Is it really made in Australia?
Yes - everything except the raw steel.
Since Australia doesn’t manufacture blade-grade steel, we source the best we can from overseas. We design, machine, engrave, and hand finish in our Brisbane workshop.

What steels do you use?
We use a range of trusted steels depending on the model - including D2 Tool Steel, VG10, AUS10, 440C, and 420. These come from reputable mills in the USA, Japan, and China.

We choose steels that strike the right balance between edge retention, toughness, and low maintenance. You shouldn’t need to babysit your knife - it should hold its edge, do the job, and be ready for the next one without fuss.
